Brian has built his career around education, athletics, and helping students and communities thrive. A lifelong athlete and coach, he graduated from Antigo High School in 2001 and earned his degree from UW–Oshkosh in 2007. After beginning his career in teaching and coaching, Brian moved into athletic administration and has served as the School District of Rhinelander’s Activities Director since 2013, supporting student activities, athletics, events, facilities, coaches, and leadership opportunities. In 2024, he was honored as the Wisconsin Athletic Directors Association’s Athletic Director of the Year.

Brian’s commitment to Rhinelander extends beyond his professional role. He has been involved with the Hodag Schools Foundation since 2013 and has supported local youth and community organizations through coaching and volunteer leadership, including the Rhinelander Basketball Association, Rhinelander Youth Hockey Board, Community Health Foundation, and Rhinelander Little League. He believes education and athletics provide opportunities to build resilience, teamwork, leadership, accountability, and character—and is committed to creating positive experiences for students while strengthening the schools and community they call home.
